It is recommended that cell line authentication be performed:
1. at an early passage in order to establiIsh the cell line identity,
2. before beginning a new series of experiments,
3. before freezing,
4. when the cell line is not behaving as expected .
5. every two months that the culture is actively growing, and again .
6. before publication of research
